Inside Sales / Customer Service
If you have a passion for cycling, know bikes, love to talk about bikes and need a change from working with customers at the retail level, then this is the opportunity you've been looking for.
Your duties will include receiving incoming sales calls from bike shops around the country, calling on a list of accounts to introduce new products and maintain open sales channels, and providing customer support as needed. You will be helping maintain product information in our inventory database, helping to make new product decisions and working with the purchasing department in product research and review.
The pluses include working in a casual, relaxed environment and having your weekend free to ride and travel. Compensation is negotiable depending on your experience.
Outside Sales
We are a company devoted to the Independent Bicycle Dealer (IBD). Are you someone who loves people, loves bicycle parts and accessories (p&a), and has experience in specialty bicycle retail? Are you a person who likes to let others know the merits of the newest bike widget?
The Hawley Outside Sales position is a multi-task, multi-talented position. This position is not for faint of heart. Our Outside Sales team members work long and unusual hours; they drive many miles at the front and back side of their days. They are often called on to be a business consultant, a bicycle p&a sales expert, a customer service member, and a logistical manager for their regional accounts.
To be successful in the role: You need sales and customer service experience and skill sets. You must be pro-active and self disciplined. You need a broad knowledge of bicycle retailers, best business practices, and general bicycle parts and accessories. Knowledge or experience in inventory management is a real plus. You need to be proficient with CRM, Microsoft office, and Outlook scheduling.

Purchasing / Product Management
Are you a detail-oriented person, yet able to work at a faster pace than normal? Do you enjoy working with numbers? Are you interested in learning the challenging fundamentals of inventory management? We'll teach you our philosophy on inventory turnover, maximizing freight, product life cycles, pricing strategies and more.
You'll need to apply these principles of product management in various situations in your daily decision making process. Duties in this position include assisting the product manager with forecasting, placing purchase orders, assisting with the marketing of new products and the overall management of assigned product lines.
If you are interested in working in the bicycle industry in a capacity other than sales, this may be your calling. Industry related experience is helpful, but not required. Full time benefits included. Compensation is negotiable depending on your experience and knowledge.
Graphics / Marketing
Are you a creative person who enjoys working in a production environment? Are you motivated by deadlines? If so, you will enjoy working in our graphics position. This individual is responsible for design and publication of our 700+ page annual catalog and a variety of other sales and marketing materials.
In this position you will team with our sales, purchasing and product development staff to produce marketing materials that will result in increased sales. To be successful in this position, you will need to be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator on a Macintosh platform.

Warehouse
Do you like to stay on the move? Do your strengths include attention to detail, organization, and working with minimal supervision? Our warehouse offers several full-time and part-time opportunities for you to consider.
Warehouse positions include receiving/stocking and shipping (order pulling, checking, packing) positions. Part-time positions are perfect for high school or college students. Some positions require previous experience in warehouse/distribution environment. Knowledge of bicycle industry and products is helpful.

Accounting / Office Administrator
Do you have accounting, customer service, human resource and/or administrative support experience? Would you like to put these skills to use in a top-notch office team environment? If this describes you, there are many opportunities within Hawley’s professional office team for you.
Positions include Controller, Office Manager, Human Resource Manager, Credit Administrator and numerous administrative support roles. Candidates for these positions must be able to multi-task, have great attention to detail, and possess strong computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet software. Experience with automated accounting systems and database management is a plus.
Part time and full time positions are available. Compensation is negotiable and depends on the duties of the position and related experience.
Service Center
Do you like to get your hands dirty? Do you enjoy the thrills of taking something that is broken and making it like new again? Do you work well under tight deadlines and enjoy working in a fast paced environment? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for the Hawley Service Center.
To work in the Hawley Service Center you must have experience working on bicycles and more specifically, bicycle suspension. Our service center specializes in repairing and tuning mountain bike forks and shocks. Experience in rebuilding components from Campagnolo and SRAM is a plus. Positions are full-time and require good organizational, communication, mechanical, and computer skills.
