Distribution Center Manager - Sparks Facility

The Manager of our new West Coast Distribution Center will be a major contributor to guiding the company through this exciting period of growth and improving its competitive position and profitability. Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Work with Customer Service to assist in resolving issues related to order fulfillment and shipping.
  • Ensure all DC employees are properly trained on safe operation of material handling equipment in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of production reports regarding DC operations.
  • Develop a space utilization plan and monitor layout of DC to ensure it continues to meet company objectives.
  • Coordinate and conduct physical inventory counting and reporting.
  • Investigate and solve issues that arise with inventory discrepancies.
  • Works closely with Supply Chain Analyst and Director of Product and Vendor Relations to ensure optimum delivery and receiving of inventory.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local transportation suppliers.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years management experience in a fast paced distribution environment, including shipping, receiving and inventory control.
  • Experience with RF, Bar Code and Electronic Data Interchange technology preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations, Workers Compensation procedures and employee relations skills.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping requirements and associated manifesting of various carriers (UPS, FedEx, LTL, OnTrac, etc.)

Ideal Hawley candidates are adept sales people, who are able to provide persuasive and valued ‘needs-based’ consultation. Candidates need a broad knowledge of bicycle retailers, best business practices, various cycling disciplines, and general bicycle parts and accessories. Knowledge or experience in inventory management is a real plus. You need to be proficient with CRM, Microsoft office, and Outlook scheduling.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of sales representative experience in the bicycle industry and is fanatically passionate about enhancing their IBD clients.

Invoice Analyst

Hawley, LLC has an opportunity for a focused detail orientated individual to join our Finance & Accounting team as an Invoice Analyst. If you take pride in handling a large volume of numeric detail while juggling multiple priorities we’d like to get to know you. Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor invoices for payment including verifying invoice content and costs
  • Perform freight analysis and allocation including for international freight
  • Respond to and resolve vendor inquiries regarding payments and invoices
  • Review, analyze and resolve exceptions on invoices as well as vendor statements
  • Manage invoices to maximize early pay discounts
Skils & Experience:
  • Associates Degree in a related field or the equivalent in experience is preferred
  • At least 2 years of accounting experience. Experience processing/costing freight invoices or accounts payable experience is a definite plus
  • Knowledge of bike parts is a plus but not required
  • Exercise strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal, written, math, and organization skills are necessary

Video / Digital Media Specialist

Hawley, LLC has an opportunity for a talented and creative individual who can create entertaining and informative videos for our new products that will be used for promotional and marketing purposes. This individual needs to demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness, as well as demonstrate an understanding of editing programs for a quality end product.   • Produce and edit videos for the Hawley website, social media, and e-newsletter, including scripting, lighting, sound, camerawork, post-production management and location production
  • Meet deadlines while maintaining high quality work
  • Contribute effectively as a member of the Marketing team
  • Demonstrate strong creative skills combined with an outstanding attention to detail.
Skils & Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in video production, including editing skills in Final Cut Pro
  • Demonstrated skills in Photoshop is a definite plus
  • 1-2 years in the bicycle industry or a passion for cycling is a plus
  • Prior experience managing social media is also a plus
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree related to video technology or film production is preferred
